I think that is the latest one, but Dr. Williams has mentioned in the past
a newer edition coming out before toooooo long... I don't think it's out
yet, however.

FRR is pretty easy for me to understand (I'm a layperson too).
Honestly, though, if I were in your shoes, if you don't already have it,
I'd purchase Dr. Purcell's book: Essentials of Ferrets: A Guide for
Practioners. I find it just as easy as FRR to understand, I love its
index (personal pet peeve: I really hate the index in the Fox book), and
I like how it is organized. It was published more recently than FRR and
so includes updated information not included in FRR.
'Course, if you were going to use the "rabbits and rodents" portion of FRR
besides the ferret content, then that's different. :)

That's not bad. You can find it for a few dollars less at Ferretware;
they also have Dr. Purcell's book in about the same price range.
