We have been using Yesterdays News for our group for a few years now.
Yesterdays News is made of recycled newspaper and now comes in two
forms. One form is a larger type pellet that they have been using for
a few years. The other form is one that, I believe, just recently
came out. I saw it at PetsMart the last time I had to get litter. It
is a smaller pellet that is supposedly softer on the little feet. (I
believe it is labeled "New Softer texture") While I can't be sure
that it really is soft, the little critters are keeping mum, it does
seem to work a little better. Both forms absorb liquid well and keep
the smell down. However the larger pellet seems to break down into
dust much faster than the small pellet, because of that, it seems the
small pellets go much farther. We also have to scoop less out of the
box when cleaning.
