Mine is copyright 1997. This would be a bad time to buy a new one
because there is supposed to be a second edition coming out in November.

"Ferrets, Rabbits and Rodents" is a lot easier to read than Dr. Fox's
book and not quite as easy as Dr. Purcell's "Essentials of Ferrets". I
would personally recommend getting Purcell and Hillyer & Quesenberry and
leaving Fox for the vets.

I paid $49.95 from Barnes & Nobel. It can be had from a number of
sources. Dr. Purcell's book is only available from American Animal
Hospital Assoc. Their address is
http://www.aahanet.org/common/products/index_v2.cfm Click on Medical
publications, then click on Exotics and Avians.
