Subject: Re:nine year old ferret

Years ago wwe had one with what looked to be typical adrenal hair-loss, but
when she was necropsied with pathology (done to teach new vets at teh
practise after she died of hypertrophic cardiomypathy) her adrenals turned out
to be normal, so, they can lose hair with non-adrenal causes, but in our
experience it is rare.

You could try Lupron, or if your vet has read that it has a larger chance of not
working on older ferrets there are other things that are being tried such as
Melatonin, or Ovaban.
