I have never tried psyllium with ferrets, but I always thought it was
for treating the opposite problem - constipation.
Perhaps, though, because it is fiber, it helps with both.
Have you had a bowel biopsy done (you mentioned surgery, but not what
kind)? Are you dealing with IBD? If so, then pred and /or Imuran is
probably what will work best. Sometimes it just takes a while to get
the meds in the right combination.
