unusual protocol for ulcers in that there's no ulcer-coating or
soothing component.

I am dealing with my first ferret ulcer now, and I think I have it
under control. I give Clavamox 2 times a day, then about 2 hours
later Carafate, then 30 - 45 minutes later Pepto, then 15 minutes
later 1/2 duck soup + 1/2 chicken baby food warmed in microwave...
then 3 hours later start all over again with the Carafate, Pepto and
food. I throw in another dose of Clavamox very late in the evening
before I go to bed. I syringe fed for the first 2 weeks so we could
get the food down faster - she was not happy to eat although I could
tell she was hungry. Now she goes right to the food. She is maybe
90% better.
Is this true - 3 hours in between antibiotics and Carafate. Carafate
on an empty stomach. Wait atleast 1/2 hour after Carafate to give
antacid medicine, and about 1/2 hour to give food after antacid. I
hope I am doing this right ... I am watching the clock all day long!
