Subject: Help with Harley "Bug"...DVM's please read!

Hey. I need some help with Harley "Bug". He was having some "off" poops so I
had a culture done on his poop. The results came back as a surprise to both
me and my vets.

Harley has Clostridium Perfringens in his poop. All I know about this is
that it is an Anaerobic bacteria which forms spores and is very stable in
the environment. Our veterinary college isn't set up to do sensitivity tests
on Anaerobic bacteria and as a result, we're trying Clavulin (Clavamox) in
hopes it helps. We originally tried Metronidazole, but no matter how I tried
to disguise it, he wouldn't take it.

I guess my question is if any of you have ever dealt with Clostridium
Perfringens and if so, what did you use to cure it?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help!
