When talking about protein percentages you have to remember
food designed as 20% for a dog, cat or fish does not mean it
is 20% of any other animal. Ferrets are very inefficient
digesters of food even raw meat; a good percentage of what
goes in comes out the other end. In the UK you can buy
vegetable fish food high in protein for fish but pretty
worthless when fed as a ferret food as they cannot digest it.
If it is not made for specifically for ferrets do not take the
protein %s to be very accurate. Chris.
