Subject: Cancer treatments

I took Pam to the vet today. She is [almost]7 years old and just had
adrenal surgery. She has 2 enormous lymph nodes on her lower stomach
and I feel 2 behind the legs and 2 in the lower back. The vet told
me over the phone it it either something really simple, or something
really serious, so I brought her in. When I saw him, he told me he'd
have to biopsy it to find out whats going on.
My concerns are that she is happy right now and 7 years old. Right
now besides the growing lymph nodes, her only problem is very itchy
skin (BTW I could not find the Canedula (sp) lotion. I found it in a
book, but not GNC.)

Anyway he said there are ways to treat the cancer (if thats what it
is)- but he didn't get into it.
He said cancer of the lymph nodes is common although not where we are
from (LI,NY) and that he doesn't see many cases.

Is there someone who can outline the treatment for me?

What is the treatment of lymphosarcoma? Or cancer of the lymph nodes?

How long of a process is it? He said weekly vet visits, but for how
long?

Does it make the ferret sick or uncomfortable?

Is it very expensive? (my husband just lost his job). The biopsy is
$300 alone.

How much will my ferret benefit from it? Will it give her months or
years?

I know you can't answer my questions specifically, but what is the
average? I really don't know what I am geting into or if I can
afford it without borrowing.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it and this board! The
board has been a great resouce for me.
Oh the vet also said itchy skin come with cancer.
