If Pody has no other health problems, absolutely. Podo had a large
right adrenal tumor revoved at age seven and a half and he recovered
faster than any other ferret in our business who's had an adrenal
surgery. He has a beautiful new, soft coat and is happy and bouncy.
Make sure your vet does a thorough exam, first, though. If there are
other problems that would make surgery risky she is probably better off
being treated medically (i.e.: with lupron).

Adrenal surgery can be difficult and even dangerous if it's the right
gland or both. Pody needs to go to a vet experienced in adrenal
surgeries. Surgery with the vet you describe is probably a prescription
for disaster.
The usual disclaimer applies: I am not a vet. I have had ferrets in our
business have adrenal surgeries eight times, all of which went well.
All the best,
