Finally got to read your entire post instead fo partial skimming.
Very interesting idea abotu the A. Don't know if it has a basis, but there
sounds like enough reason there for folks to look.
We have one who gets well beyond what is usually said in popular
discussions to be the max, because it is the way we are able to get certian
meds in her, and because we already knew that there there are either no
reports or perhaps a scant few reports of problems with vitamin A toxicity in
ferrets. She has gotten for years and is thriving -- hearty, muscular, healthy.
Glad that my memory wasn't faulty about measles being related and I still do
wonder if exposure to measles may have at times acted like exposure to cow
pox acted in humans -- as a vaccine alternative from a milder infection.
Didn't know that measles calls for extra Vitamin A. That is interesting.
