Subject: Re: Liver, Dexamethasone, Sherlock, DHT

The liver has amazing healing abilities. Milk thistle is
excellent for liver issues.

Dexamethasone takes down inflammation and increases appetite. We use it
when treating ulcers so the little ones will be more comfortable and
hopefully they will keep their tummies filled with food when I'm away or
sleeping to avoid tummy acid irritating ulcers.

On Sherlock - is there any fur missing anywhere? It sounds like he might
possibly be exhibiting the over production of testosterone from an adrenal
issue. Our Meethos is locked up when I'm not home cause he is doing to
the same to one of our other boys. Meethos is scheduled for adrenal
surgery on the 9th. He has two small bald patches on his belly and the
bottom of his feets. We've noticed that the feet often times are sparse
of fur, either on top or bottom, with the adrenal kids.

I have a question on DHT. There are several 'natural' hair regrowth
products on the market that work by prohibiting the release of excess DHT.
Would the oral products be helpful with adrenal ferrets that aren't
surgical candidates?

Hugs to all. tle
