Subject: Seven update

Found out some things and understand better now that I finally have had a
real night of sleep.

There is not worry about Seven's remaining partial adrenal.

Her heart situation is worse than I thought; she is not someone who will ever
be operated on again, having almost died on the table. To get her off the gas
as fast as possible she was closed in a way that means stitiches will have to
come out later, because it saved time and any time was precious then. Her
heart rate still remains too low and they are waiting for a consulation from a
veterianary cardiologist now. If they can arrange it she will have an
ultrasound tomorrow. Right now it's not clear but she may be in the hospital
again overnight tonight.

It's a rough situation; given where they were those insulinomas had to come
out or she could have lost the blood vessel supplying her intestines, but she it
sounds like she is still touch and go in relation to her heart rate.

I haven't read today's FHL, yet, so will get to that starting now.

We still have to pick up Warp for her burial; hope that we don't wind up with
two of them.

Our vet is a darling guy, open to learning, careful, loving, and experienced.
He's a fine surgeon, too, so if she doesn't make it that will be her body's
choice. We all sure hope that she makes it, though. Sev's a sweetheart, who
had to learn to get along with ferrets, but who has always absolutely adored
humans. Since she was an adult adoptee no one knows her age so we've
always just hoped she was reasonably young and treated as heer body
dictated.

In 20 years we haven't yet lost a ferret on the table or during post-op healing
(That is probably insomething like 35 to 45+ operations, very rough estimate.),
but we understand that having no such losses is unusual over such a long
time frame. especially since we first started taking in hard-luck ones with our
second ferret. Hope she works out okay and we can give her at least a year
more.

Thank you so much for your advice and help; I will continue collecting such
info for her sake.
