Subject: Re: Very Nippy Boy

Thanks for all of the helpful replies.
After thinking about it, and watching Ricky - I think he is deaf. He does
have a white blaze (I think he would best be described as a tri-color -
white, beige, and black - with a lovely tuxedo front) down his forehead.
Actually, it looks most like he pressed his beige head into a white
doorframe. :) His body conformation is similar to my other male ferrets- he
is quite muscular.
When Ricky first came, we noticed how soundly he slept and how much harder he
was to awaken. He also seemed not to learn his name well. (Duh!) He also
"chuckles" constantly - very loudly - everywhere he goes.
I will bring him home - perhaps with one of his calmer cagemates - so that we
don't recreate the lonely situation for him. I'll keep working with him -
with more understanding this time!
He was a Marshalls weasel - went right to the store and was there ever since,
so I know I am his first owner. We'll work through this!
Ironically, he was at the office to help educate people that ferrets are NOT
smelly, biting creatures. And for those of you that asked - I AM the boss,
so I can call the shots to have ferrets in the workplace :) And yes, I AM
hiring! :)
Ricky will come home with me this weekend and we'll start over. Slowly.
Thanks for the advice.
