Like every ferret, every medication is also different. The Carafate acts
like a "Band-Aid" over the ulcerated tissue to help protect it so that it can
heal. The "standard" treatment of Pepto, Amoxicillin and Flagyl kills the
helicobacter so often the cause of the ulcer. We use all three.
