Subject: medicine question
Has anyone ever given the medicine Viokase? My ferret is diabetic and needs
to take this med but hates it. I have mixed it in straight baby food, added
ferretone and even tried to start on 1/8 of a teaspoon. The normal dosage
is 1/2 teaspoon 2 times a days mixed in food. If a vet is listening, do you
know if it can be compounded and given orally or does it have to mix with
the food and sit 20 minutes for it to become active.
