I would surely mention the possibility of ulcers to my vet. The
vomiting, anorexia and black stool matches perfectly with the book
description of ulcers. Other things to consider would be eosinophilic
gastroenteritis and inflamatory bowel disease. The newer treatment for
ulcers is Amoxicillin, Biaxin and Carafate. The other two are often
treated with prednisone.
