Subject: Green genital dischage... HELP!!!
Hi you guys!
Hope 2002 is a WONDERFUL year for everyone, humans and furries...
I'm writing quickly since I haven't been able to find this info
anywhere (books or net) and I'm scared that it can be something serious!
Really getting worried about the "baby" ferret of the family, Salma
(now 6 months old).
First I noticed that for a few days, the fur in her genital area seemed
to be a little "moist".
I thought that maybe it was because she has gained a LOT of weight (her
first winter fat, heard it shall be the fattest year of her life) that
her back part is so chubby that she drags on the pee when she bends
over to use the toilet...
BUT yesterday I lifted her over to see if there was anything for me to
clean (been wiping the goo away with a moist cloth) and I saw some
light green creamy-looking discharge coming from her... you know.
Her butt looks ok and I checked but I don't think she has any pain.
She is eating and using the toilet fine and is super energetic as usual!
WHAT CAN THIS BE?!!!
Is it some kind of infection or bacteria? Is it dangerous? What
should I do?!!!
Salma's appointment to be neutered is in February, can it be something
related to her not being neutered? (the other female of the house,
Leeloo, was adopted already neutered but when I adopted Salma she was
still too young and I've been trying to postpond the operation for the
last month before she's suppsed to go on heat, I heard it's the best)
Anyway, thanks SO MUCH for any information on this weird green
discharge!
She hasn't been licking herself there but does rub herself agains some
objects occasionally (something none of the others do and something she
started doing recently!--I thought she was just trying to "carry" /
drag the object away since she's the thief of the family!).
I am so very very worried!
