Bag Balm is a product developed over 100 years ago by dairy farmers
in Vermont. It is a soothing balm to put on dairy cow udders to
protect them from harsh winter wind and help keep them from
chapping. It is a wonderful product. You used to have to buy it
through animal supply places (farm stores, etc) but I recently saw it
in a CVS pharmacy with the hand lotions. It comes in a green square
can. I believe Jeffers carries it also.

My vet said he used it on his children for diaper rash. It has been
used on little baby boy squirrels penis' when they've been raw from a
sibling attempting to nurse. You can put it on your hands to soften
them (use it at night and wear cotton gloves). I've recently been
using it on my wrist after some minor surgery left it pretty raw. It
has many uses and is perfectly safe to the best of my knowledge.
