Bag Balm is an antiseptic ointment. I think it was originally
created for use on milk cows udders, to keep them from getting
irritated. When I was breeding ferrets, I used to put a small amount
on the nursing mother's tetes.
It can sometimes be hard to find in the city, but if you ask your
pharmacist, he can probably get it for you.
I still keep it on hand - it also works great on severely chapped
hands and lips.
