Just a suggestion! After having many ferrets with this
problem over the years, it definitely would be good to
follow the suggestion of a vet visit to hopefully
establish the cause!
Sometimes after rounds of antibiotics the problem has
resurfaced! If the infection is being treated as
systemic, then the antibiotics will clear up the
problem! However if it is localised and the problem
persists, I have used warm water plus vinegar to flush
the vulva and have had great success! This can be done
twice a day with 10ccs of warm water and a couple of
drops of white vinegar, gently flushing the area!
Regardless of treatment you do need to keep the vulva
very clean, so that reinfection does not occur-Angela.
