Since your ferret is on medication, I assume he has been seen by a
vet.
I am not a vet, but I have had ferrets for 15 years, and have seen a
lot of different illnesses and problems.
It has been my experience that usually you will see some improvement
within 2 weeks of treatment for ulcers. This does not mean that the
ferret will be completely healed - just that there will be some signs
of improvement. In cases where ther is no improvement, it may be
time to consider exploatory surgery, if the ferret is strong enough,
to determine exactly what the problem is. Only your vet can
determine if surgery would be advisable, though.
At this time, I would suggest you check back with your vet to see
what he recommends. Since he has already examined your ferret, he is
in a better position to determine what would be appropriate.
