I have a late alter jill Ashlee age 5.5 - 6 years. She has been diagnosed
via biopsy with IBD. We have had some success in treating her with
chlorampehnicol - she is now on pred 1cc a day. Her stools are better -
for the moment she is not whimpering when she defecates, or if I touch her
abdomen, but after a fashion she losses the remission. We have made it
through the drug rotation twice now - and are saying prayers. I have heard
of other treatments but our vets are not familiar with them and I must
weigh the quality of life issue with each new trial.
I send best wishes for a workable treatment program. Truthfully I do not
know that flagyll will help IBD- I have not heard it works. Was your
diagnosis made via biopsy.
