Subject: More Vicky info

Hi Russ and Danee

Vicky is spayed and her vulva isn't swollen. She's getting better all the
time, I fed her at 1.00 last night, then at 4.00 and again at 7.00. She ate
a teaspoon full of A/D every time but then starts to grind her teeth again.
So it does sound a lot like ulcers and everybody who has written to me has
suggested ulcers as well.

If it was AIHA, wouldn't Vicky be dead by now? I'm sure the 9cc of blood
that she received wouldn't have done such a miracle to her and surely her
body would have destroyed it again by now? She did look jaundiced, that's
why the vet thought about liver disease as well. My vet is used to my
ferrets, they come in with cancer and other fatal diseases so of course she
thinks the worst with Vicky, that it is the spleen that is bleeding or some
tumour or a disease where the body destroys the blood or doesn't develop new
blood or something bad. But Vicky is still good and demands to be let out
for a run now! At 7.00 she was up and waiting by the mesh door of her cage.
Yesterday morning she was completely limp and on her way out and now she
runs, surely that must be a good sign! :-)

We'll be off to the vets later, hopefully her test results will be back and
maybe I can get my vet to treat her for stomach ulcers...
