I checked and didn't see anything on the liver (but I
might have missed it).

Godiva came to me as a rescue about a year and a half
ago. She had been "set free" by some person. I got a
call from a friend on the humane society board (they
don't deal with ferrets) and she gave her to me.
Godiva was experiencing full-blown adrenal symptoms -
bald and swollen vulva. She had surgery (left adrenal
removed and an insulinoma found and removed) and the
vulva returned to normal. Some hair grew back on the
feet and head, but that's it. She stayed bald
everywhere else.

Now, bearing in mind that she is bald, she has turned
yellow (jaundice). She is currently on some holistic
stuff to help with the remaining liver function. She
does eat and drink. She is somewhat lethargic, but I
didn't think she was too bad or I might have suspected
a problem before the color change.

I lost a dog to liver cancer last spring. It was very
hard.

If anyone has any suggestions for Godiva, they are
more than welcome. She has been one of the sweetest
ferrets I've ever met and it will be painful to lose
her.

Thank you.

Kim
