Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Question: Recommendations on
ferret food

Many owners will recommend Totally Ferret, Mazuri and even 8-in-1.
Mine enjoy Zupreem and do well on it. It makes for some dark (but not
smelly!) poops, though.

Your best bet it to feed her a variety of the better foods. Even a
little Marshall is ok occasionally. Also try a little wet ferret or
kitten food occasionally, and once in a while, some Gerber's Second
Stage chicken or turkey baby food.

This will do three things for you - Racer will love the variety, she
will be healthier long term (one food fed constantly can cause eventual
problems), and you will have more feeding options if she ever gets
sick. One of mine is horrified by anything that isn't kibble - I don't
know what I will do if he gets sick!
