Subject: tongue growth

I had my ferret to the vet for the annual checkup and
he has a small growth on the middle of his tongue.
The vet said we will just keep an eye on it, and
if it is growing try to remove it. It is small, maybe 0.5cm
or less, smooth, color of the tongue but raised a little
above the tongue- exactly midline.

I can try to get a pic, but I was wondering if anyone
else had experience with growths here, and if waiting
seemed reasonable- or even if taking it out was necessary-
seems to be in a difficult area to ensure complete removal.
