Yes, it's affection. There are times when I'm taking my boys out of
their cage and during the trip to the play area, I'll have one or up
to five licking my face. One of the eight, is always kissing me.
Some do it with a nose tap, some lick. Sometimes it's funny when
someone does all he can to get a patch of bare skin to lick.
