Subject: Jelly Poop
If someone could help please,
We have three kids. All rescues. We've had all in the house for at least two
years now. About two months ago we started having questionable poops from
all. Seedy, loose, jelly like. We haven't been around any other ferrets
except at a shelter which was several months ago. I haven't heard of them
having any problems. Ours were all on Amoxi and pepto for about 4 weeks.
Seemed to help. Now two are doing well but one had diarrhea Thursday and
since has had jelly like poops. What do jelly poops mean? This particular
little guy has insulinoma and is going in for surgery tomorrow morning.
Should I be concerned about something going on that could cause problems
during surgery? Also, Because of the insulinoma, all have been getting
supplemental feedings of Gerbers #2 Chicken Baby Food. About three days ago I
started grinding Zupreem and adding it to the babyfood. They also have
available to them at all times Marshalls kibble.
Any help would be appreciated.
