Subject: Bandit-water in his lungs??

Hi Gang,

I really hope this reaches you this time...I keep having that nasty
mailer demon send my messages back to me.

Here goes, Bandit was at the vet for a follow-up visit yesterday.
He was last diagnosed with bronchitus and put on chloremphemical
(anti-biotic) to help clear the infection. The doctor at the time
told us we we're lucky we brought him in early, because it could
have led to a pnemonia?? if left untreated.

The doctor took x-rays again to see if it cleared up, well he found
a white spot on the lungs and he said he did not think it was cancer
because of it's location. Typically, I guess it's found in a
different area in the lung?? Anyway, he gave me a medication that
he said might help to expand his lung--It's called "Theophylline
Elix" (given twice a day). The doctor said it could cause
excitibiliy?? in Bandit and if so to stop it.
He wants me to come back in (3-6) months for a re-check, he said if
Bandit starts having difficulty breathing he would need surgery.

Just so you know, Bandit's activity level has been great prior to
this visit and his appetite has been good. Yes, his breathing is
heavy at times, mainly when he's asleep - it's hard to really say
that he's having difficulty breathing. He plays around the house
and with Fiefal and seems okay.

Also Bandit's blood glucose was very low again (43) in spite of the
.75 of pred he's on daily. The doctor was not to concerned with
this because there were no clinical signs and he looks good
physically!!! This kinda goes against everything I've learned from
this group, so I'm a bit confused. I would also like to know more
about the medicine mentioned above- because I'm not familiar with
it....

Thanks,
Christina
