Hi Christina -I am a long time asthma sufferer, and years ago used to
have to take thoephylline. It is rarely used with humans anymore,
because there are so many newer drugs that do not have as many side
effects. When I was using it, though, I did find it to be very
effective in helping me breath. I also have a cat with asthma, and
she was on theophylline for a while. When the side effects became a
problem, she was switched to brethine.
I don't know if this is the kind of information you were looking for
or not.
