Dear Marie-
We had several male ferrets who enlarged like this at the shelter last
year they were part of last years NJ Xmas rescue. I was plain worried
about 2 in particular -- we gave them some extra time and they absorbed the
fluid fine no extra vetting was required. Perhaps if you wait a few days
more the fluids will also dissipate? Just trying to share a little experience.

PS- a newly inherited male rescue dog went through the same thing-- we just
let him be and it all settled down in a few extra days time
