Subject: Need a treat recommendation
I have an adrenal 2 yo sprite who has not really put on any winter weight.
In fact, she has been steadily losing weight, though now thankfully that
has bottomed out.
Anyway, her weight is not dangerously low according to my vet but we would
both like to see her gain some. Problem is, she is a SUPER picky eater. I
cannot get her to eat any kind of chicken-based concoction no matter how
hard I try to make it taste good.
She likes the yogurt treats, ferretone, ferretvite, bandits and cheerios.
Of course I don't want to feed her a lot of sugary snacks every day, but I
was wondering if there are any kibble or "meaty" treats people can
recommend as being safe to feed a lot of.
The Bandits, while not kibble, are mostly fat & protein so it SEEMS like it
should be safe to let her eat as many as she wants, but I would like some
opinions.
Pounce tartar-control cat treats, according to the package, can be used as
the sole nutrition for a cat, so again it would seem safe to let her have
many of these if desired.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
