Subject: Re: Sick Ferret

I am sorry to have to be so frank, but MANY times there simply is absolutely NO substitute for veterinary care. You have encountered that reality twice recently and it sounds as if you may be meeting up with it a third time.

Have you checked to see if you might be able to barter labor with your vet in exchange for care? I even know of a doctoral student who did this --cleaning cages, mopping floors, etc.to pay for needed care. Others use insurance. Some simply don't get a pet until they have a certain amount placed away for future vet care. Still others runup debt short-term.

Please, this ferret needs veterinary care, please find a solution that permits that to be obtained.
