Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] thank you
May I suggest a good ferret book? Ferrets for Dummies is
WONDERFUL!
Just my two cents. Please keep us updated!

Thank you to everyone who wrote me emails and posted
messages. Right
after I posted my original message, I started calling around
to find
an expert, and I made an appointment with Dr. X for today at
4:00. I am really glad that I did. She really is a gret
vet, and I
see the overwhelming support for her. I took little stinky
in there,
and he has a very high white cell count or white cell level
or
someting like that. It basically means he has an infection
that
probably started from when he was 'out.' Anyway, Dr. X is
taking him home with her tonight so she can see his reaction
to the
meds. I am going to continue ferret proofing and reading
about
ferrets so I can take care of this little guy when I get him
back.
Thanks for all the support. This is really a great site. I
will
keep you all posted on how he is doing. I should be able to
pick him
tomorrow. Thanks again!
Victoria
[Moderators' note: okay, I just being a stickler for the
rules here -- removing vet's name since treatment is
mentioned -- but know that everyone's words were heeded. --
