Subject: Re: Digest Number 543 (Eating Rice)

Hi Roger,

We are using uncooked rice. I guess I was just concerned that it could get
lodged sideways or something in their intestines. From the responses I've
gotten though, it doesn't seem like it has been any problem for anyone
else. Maybe I'm just an overly paranoid ferret mommy. :-)

Thanks for your help.

You are quite right, some ferrets will eat some of the rice. As long as
it is regular uncooked rice, it passes right thry them just like it went
in. A grain of rice is too small to pose a blockage hazzard.
