Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] litter training

IMHO, young ferret's are like little kids when it comes to "potty training",
they will all make mistakes. Mine still has accidents and he is just over 4
months old. However, I believe that www.martinscages.com has a new product
out that fits in the corner(s) of the cage to keep them from eliminating
where they are not suppose too.

Hi everyone. I am so fed up trying to litter train one of my
ferrets. We got 2 ferrets about a month ago. They were appr. 8-9
weeks old at the time. We bought a 4 story cage for them when we
bought them. When I keep them confined to the bottom story, Pepé
will use the litter box fine. But when I let them up to the second
story he won't use it. It seems he's just too lazy to go down the
tube. I hate keeping them confined, but I'm at my wits end. I can't
keep a litter box on every level. I already have 2 in there. Does
anyone have any ideas? How long does it usually take to potty train?
Does 3 months old seem too old to keep confined to one level? I feel
bad for the other one (Turbo), but Pepé will even pee on the corner
sleeper! Need some ideas, please...
