I'm not a vet, or an expert, but my own experience has taught me that
ferrets
are like humans in the respect that some are meant to be thin and some tend
to be a bit fatter, even if they eat the same foods and same approx. amount.
We have a little girl who eats like a pig, including lots of meat "treats"
during
our own meals, but remains thin (she also runs everywhere she goes, and she
*goes* constantly during time out of the cage..........matter of fact, she
is the
reason we started having to cage ours for nap times, cause her batteries
just
never ran down and she wouldn't stop to rest). In the same cage is another
female who is the same age and eats the same foods, who is quite plump, but
otherwise healthy.
