I'm not a vet, or an expert, but my own experience has taught me
that
ferrets
are like humans in the respect that some are meant to be thin and
some tend
to be a bit fatter, even if they eat the same foods and same
approx. amount.
We have a little girl who eats like a pig, including lots of meat
"treats"
during
our own meals, but remains thin (she also runs

I also have a thin ferret. Looking at him, you would think he's
sick. He is just on the verge of being too thin. Kinda looks bony. I
have had him checked out, blood tests and all. He is perfectly
healthy. Stools, eating/drinking, play.... is normal. For being the
thinnnest and lightest ferret, he's doing great as the head ferret
of eight. He just puts everybody in their place even if it's someone
a full 1 1/2 heavier.
