Subject: Re: superpet tube cages and litter

I interlaced the shelves with hammocks, stairstepping the hammock and
levels so that they had a level two shelves wide and stepped up to that
level from a hammock then another hammock and a 2 wide shelf, etc.. On
the one level they wanted to use as a bathroom, near the top, I tilted
the shelf higher one rung on one end so they were at a gentle slant.
The only tube I kept was the curved tube as the others made it difficult
for them to get up and down. I also left shelves in with the holes and
not tube that were close enough that they could stand up through
the hole and hoist themselves up to the next level.

My main concern with this cage was whether they could easily get up and
down for food and water. The straight tube seemed to be a deterrent,
making it very difficult for them to go anywhere but falling down through
it, which for kits and even older ferrets, this can be quite frightening.

Hugs. tle
