I've never heard of anything like this happening to a ferret, though
I'm not a vet and I suppose anything is possible. Is it possible
your vet is describing gastric torsion? That's when the stomach
flips over and the twisting seals off the stomach, causing bloating.
I thought this only happened to large breed, deep-chested dogs. I
know it's deadly in dogs if not treated quickly.
