Thanks to everyone for their responses, condolences and replys concerning my Peanut whom I had to put down the day after Christmas. It helps to know that others are there for you and have been through similar experiences and can help ease the pain of the decision to put him to rest.
Dr. Williams- you are right, my vet only went by what he saw with the naked eye when he did the autopsy. I would have seriously liked to have some of the organs biopsied or sent to you but had no idea how to do it. Any information on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. I really admire and respect all that you do for the ferret community and having someone like you who takes a great interest in finding out more on ferret health is definitely a plus for all ferret owners as we know that SO MANY vets are still in the learning stages when it comes to ferret health. I want to THANK YOU personally from the bottom of my heart for all you do for each and every ferret owner!!
Thanks again to everyone!! I wish each and every one of you the best of Health for you and your little fuzzies!!
Janet
