Subject: Cataracts in ferrets
Message-ID: <37.3254c337.2b4a17e5@aol.com>

I was noticing today that one of my 2 year old gibs has developed a cataract
in one of his eyes. Does anyone know what causes these to form, especially
in young ferrets? Is it linked to genetics? I know his father had
cataracts, but not until later in life.
I know ferrets do well with impaired vision, so I am not concerned, but just
wondering.
