In ferrets (now that I am not working through a headache) I've seen or read about irritated livers with pancreatic disease, maybe with gallbladder or bile duct disease (not sure if I am remembering right), with stomach blockage, with an adrenal tumor which has grown into the liver and is irritating it, and with adhesions. I do not know if the bilirubin increased with some of these but it sure was thrown off with the blockage.
