Subject: recovery from adrenal surgery

First time posting and just joined mailing list. Does
anyone have any comments to this: My girl (Cynder)
just had a left adrenal surgery one week ago on Dec
30. She has been doing her bathroom functions fine
everything normal (stools etc.) Had her in last Friday
to vet. She is totally aware of everything around her
and does move around. Her energy level is down. Have
been giving supportive care. She is on .2 cc of
Clavamox 2 times a day. She is eating her soup. I have
been giving her also Nutrical regularly. Her packed
cell volume was 29 before surgery and now (brought her
to the vet again today) retested and she is at 15.
Very low. She is anemic which explains her low energy
level. Is this to be expected. She should be coming up
by now on her red blood cell count right? Her kidneys
are fine. With her being slightly anemic before and
the blood loss during surgery I guess where does a
person go from here? Is there anything I can do at
this point to help her? Do I need to personally mailto
mail Dr. Bruce to get his opinion. (I don't know how
to do that) I am new to this mailing list. Can anyone
give some info to me at all? Any input would be
greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! Joy
