Mary,
I went through 2 surgeries in February. 1 didn't make it much past
midnite and the other I had a rough time getting her back to normal
(eating etc...)(she now has reocurring symptoms. Hair loss on tail/itching
and swollen vulva. Checking on lupron at this point for her. I just had a
surgery last Monday for another of my females and she seems to be
okay except she is anemic at this point. She does not have alot of
energy. Trying to get her back to health. (Had her to the vet 2 times since
surgery.) I have not experienced a surgery yet where they bounce back
within a couple of days. I work with a shelter and I've been told it can be
within 24-48 hrs or longer depending on the individual ferret and his/her
condition beforehand. I know our shelter ferrets are on Amoxy after and I
think Dex and something else they get. Torbitral(?) (spelling) for pain
after. I am in the process of getting this information from shelter mom. I
put a post hoping that someone will have some info. to help me at this
point also. Good luck with your surgery and hopefully you have better
luck than I have been having. Joy
