Hi
Tresaderm is the treatment prescribed to my ferret when he had a yeast
infection. It relieved his itching and discomfort within 2 days - but I
continued the treatments for 7 days, then twice weekly for the next 2
weeks.
He recovered completely.
As far as the hairloss - is it bilateral (both sides of the spine) and
symmetrical (equal amounts of loss on each side of the spine)? Is your
ferret
over age 4? If so, I would suspect adrenal gland disease...and I would
be
watching him very carefully for an enlarged prostate. I don't believe that
hairloss accompanies a yeast infection..but I could be wrong.
