True enough - one of my local colleagues recently spayed a two year old
ferret and took out both adrenal glands at the same time, since both were
obviously diseased. Yes, she was showing symptoms of adrenal disease. So
not only can late alters develop adrenal disease, intact ferrets can as well.
Not as common, but it does happen.
