I assume you mean a torn cruciate ligament inside the knee joint? Treatment
options are much the same for ferrets as they are for the other species -
surgery being the best for return to normal function and minimal arthritis,
but conservative treatment (cage rest - one level - and antiinflammatory
medicine at appropriate doses for six weeks or so) often proving very
helpful.
