I don't know what it is but I know what we did when we took in one with an injured eye even though the eye was fully healed by then. We went to a vet and then got a recommendation for a veterinary ophthalmologist because her situation wasn't easily enough figured out by the vet. It turned out that she did need some special care and was well worth the trips to him.
Is this scab near the eye, on an upper lid, on a lower lid, on one of the flimmy looking lids, or on the eye itself? Where on one of those? Other details?
